I’ve been procrastinating on finally committing to maintain a personal blog, so here goes nothin’!
I was really uncertain as to what I should share for my first official post, and I’m unsure of the exact direction of this blog. What I can tell you is that I have a great passion for helping others:
- grow personally and professionally
- spend their precious time (and energy / money) intentionally
- live their best lives

A former high school student of mine {the fabulous Elnaz M. @ Millennial Nomaad} once asked me to participate in an amazing project she organized to showcase and support creativity + growth among women. She asked us all, “What makes you feel alive?” This is a seemingly simple question, but I literally spent days pondering it. I feel that my response to her thought-provoking question might offer a glimpse into who I am and why I’m here with my ramblings… Here is my response to her:
Being me = being free.
For me, feeling alive has everything to do with freedom – the freedom to roam, explore, learn, fail, grow, and {most importantly} the freedom to live authentically.
Living a life that aligns with who I am took me a long time to figure out, but letting go of the “supposed to” and embracing my unique values has been incredibly liberating; it has truly transformed my life. There’s an indescribable power in finally realizing on a deep level that I am the creator of my own journey while on this planet.
My ongoing journey of living each day authentically and intentionally is helping me create a life I love- a life where I feel grateful, alive, and free. 🙌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Unapologetically,
Amy 😉

As an educator by trade and a personal development junkie, I am honestly thrilled if I can help just one human live a life that is more aligned with his/her passion, purpose, and values. If I can help make your life better by just a fraction of a percent, I am thrilled. I’m a firm believer that we need to clear the {emotional, physical, mental} clutter and ask ourselves routinely if we are living authentically and intentionally. Feeling free and authentic, and empowering others to do the same, is what drives me.
When do you feel most alive?
Are there areas of your life where you believe you could be more authentic, vulnerable, free?
I’m giving this personal blog thing a final shot. If you’ve made it this far into my first post, I am sincerely honored and grateful that you have shared your valuable time with me. Many thanks, and I hope to bring you value over the coming weeks… months…or hopefully longer. 😉
be free,
amy ❤
P.S. Many thanks to my friend Karen in NC for holding me accountable and encouraging me to begin. 🙂
